Obituary of June A. DeFebbo

Please share a memory of June to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
June A. DeFebbo, 83, of Hammonton passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 10, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. DeFebbo worked for the Hammonton School System as a cafeteria worker for many years (early 1970's). In 1981, she started working for the Hammonton Police Department, in the Records Room, in what she would describe as her "dream job". June was known as a "Mom" to many of the young officers during her employment. Prior to her retirement, in 2006, she would become Secretary to Chief Frank R. Ingemi. June would often comment, right up until a few weeks prior to her death, that she wished she could still work at the police department!!! June is predeceased by her loving husband, Charles C. DeFebbo who passed away November 4, 2016. June has left behind to cherish her memory, son Chuck (Renee') of Hammonton; grandchildren Charlee DeFebbo of Atlantic City, J'enae (Chris) Shaw of Marlton, NJ, John (Kara) Serad of Franklinville, NJ, Joshua Serad of Maple Shade, NJ, Jesse Serad & Jeremiah Serad, Franklinville, NJ; Brothers-in-Law David (Ethel) DeFebbo of Hideaway, TX, Carl West of Camdenton, MO; Sisters-in-Law Martha (Lynn) Green of the U.K., Fenesia Blackwell of Hideaway, TX; 5 great grandchildren- Joseph Serad, Brielle & Jaxon Serad, Noelle & Remington Shaw; nephew David (Monica) DeFebbo, nieces Lori (Rick) Bizzell, Beth (Jimmy) Robertson and numerous cousins. A special "Thank You" to Pastor Vince Lombardo and his wife Dianne, who have provided guidance, brought peace and comfort to June for many, many years. June will be greatly missed by her neighbors, who are "family"- Frank & Nereida Sanchez and her closest friend, Mimi (Benny) Massara. She will also be missed by her live-in-caregiver, Tamar (Tomata) Gusharashvili. June's family would also like to extend many "thanks" to Samaritan's Hospice, nurses Debbie Parisi, Michelle and Karon, Home Health Aid Jackie, Case Worker Mary and Pastor Eric. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, 11:00 in Calvary Chapel, 660 S. Egg Harbor Rd, Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 9:00am until 11:00am. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton. Memorial Donations may be made to Calvary Chapel Church.
