Obituary of Samuel "Duffy" Alicea

Samuel "Duffy" Alicea Sr., 65, of Huachuca City, AZ, passed away suddenly on December 21, 2022. Sam grew up in Hammonton, a town he loved and was raised in. He worked as a machine operator for over 10 years and enjoyed playing his guitar and tending to his farm. Sam will be dearly missed and always remembered. Sam was predeceased by his mother Angela Lopez, his father Vicente Alicea, his aunt Mercedes Sellas two of his sons, Samuel "Chino" Alicea and Enrique "Ricky" Alicea, his brother David Alicea, his sister Nilda Alicea-Hernandez, his nephew Carlos Santiago, & his great nephew Azrael Mateo DeJesus. He is survived by his wife Peggy Williams, his Daughter Angelina Alicea, his Son Samuel Alicea Jr, Ivan Maldonado and his stepdaughter Jessica Rust. His sisters Maria, Alicia, and Miriam Alicea, his brothers Vince and Elvis Alicea. He also has 24 grandchildren, 12+ great grandchildren, 12 nieces & nephews who he loved like his own, cousins and great nieces & nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St. in Hammonton on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 2:30 pm, where a viewing will be held from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm. The family has requested a celebration of life be held in honor of Sam after the funeral service. We request all of Sam's loved ones to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at The Puerto Rican Civic Club at 367 Old Forks Rd, Hammonton, on January 2, 2023 at 3:30pm.
