Obituary of Steven B. Benton

Steven B. Benton, 72 of Mays Landing passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous 14 year battle with cancer. Steve was raised by his late mother, Faye Benton, in the Chelsea Heights section of Atlantic City. Steve pursued many careers until he found his calling on the road. Steve was the owner/operator of MBT Trucking and enjoyed hauling all over the country. When not on the road, Steve loved spending time with his family and planned many vacations and family dinners. Steve is survived by his wife and soulmate of 42 years, Michele Benton (nee Jacobs), his children Samantha Benton, Ashley Perone (Dave), Michael Benton (Rachael), Adam Benton (Alexis), April Bellettini (Bob) and Brian Benton (Kyla). Proud Poppop of Travis Benton, Payton and Penelope Perone, Jamie and Adam Benton, Rebecka and Rachel Bellettini, and Eva Benton. Brother of Mary Perona, John Sanders and Joe Kessleski. Steve was a diehard Philly sports fan and he can rest easy knowing the Phillies made it to the World Series and he got to witness the latest Eagles victory. His larger than life spirit will be missed immensely by all. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 26, 2022, 4:00PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a visitation will be held from 3:00PM - 4:00PM.
