Howie… Still can’t believe you are gone and we will never hear your voice or see your smile light up the room. We were suppose to grow old together. You fought cancer for 11 months so courageously and hardly ever complained. Even during your darkest moments you found a way to smile and tease or make a joke. We will cherish our memories with you forever.
We will be forever heartbroken. We promise to live like you always said “Simplify your life, body, & mind”..
Watch over all of us! Until we meet again the birds will continue to chirp…chirp… without you!
All our love! Miss you so much! Love “21”, Shannon, Celena & Brent

To the Potopchuk, Rivard, & Huff families, I am so sorry for your loss. I’ve known Howie over a 15 year span, tho the time I spent with him wasn’t much, each moment was memorable. Im sad I didn’t have the opportunity to say goodbye but am thankful for the memories. Some of the many memories include: a black trench coat (I didn’t know the clean cut Howie- which I thought was myth prior to watching the video on this site), dyed black hair which stained the Potopchuk bathroom sink,- Andy losing his shit when he saw it, sleeping on the Rivard’s treadmill in the garage when locking himself out, yelling out “Crust”, Talking trash- especially when it related to sports, bantering back and forth with Vinny, telling stories- while I questioned how much of it was actually true, 2008 Phillies World Series at Chickie’s and Pete’s, pick up lines which involved him being a professional wrestler, stopping his motorcycle up the on ramp to 95 with some chick he met at the bar on the back, carrying a Gatorade in his motorcycle helmet around the casino, and probably one of Howie’s most memorable moments including me, watching the greatest college game ever together with Andrew- six overtimes 4 hrs long - UConn vs Syracuse.
Howie was unapologetically himself, he was comfortable in his skin and sure as hell didn’t let others influence how he lived his life. For those like myself that got to know Howie, they quickly found out that Howie was a genuine good sole, who loved his family and friends. Regardless of the situation Howie always had a smile on his face and every time I picture him, I see him smiling. Though I know everyone is sad with his passing, please know that Howie is smiling down from heaven watching over us.
- God Bless: Chuck, Liz and the Martin Family

Shannon, Stefan, Celina and Brent, we are sorry for your loss. The boys remember “Uncle Howie” coming to hockey games on his motorcycle with a long vest and long hair. They saw him as a cool, nice guy and enjoyed hanging out with him. Our sincere condolences on your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and you during this challenging time. You made an amazing tribute book full of wonderful memories. He will live on in those memories and all of you.

Howie was an amazing employee and great friend. Over the past 7 years we talked for countless hours about his years and experience in the industry. His common sense approach and his straight forwardness always came with great advise and perspective. In the past year I got to know in person his amazing family that I always heard about. The love and care they all had for Howie is something I admire and respect.
Howie you were a great friend, devoted employee and in the darkest of times you never gave up. I will always remember you and you will always have a special place in my heart.
Best wishes to the entire family, Howie will never be forgotten.
