Obituary of Lenora Brinson
Please share a memory of Lenora to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lenora Brinson was born on September 16, 1934, to the late Lonza and Tempie Hall in Durham, NC. She transitioned from her earthly life to her heavenly home on July 6, 2022, in Orlando, FL. She was the youngest of four children and her siblings affectionately nicknamed her "Boosie." She loved making hush money off of them to keep secrets, but when asked what happened, she would tell the truth and keep the money. The Hall Family dedicated their time serving the Lord while in Durham, NC. When Lenora was twelve years old, her family moved to Philadelphia, PA.
While in Philadelphia, Lenora met and married Charles F. Brinson in 1953. Together, they had four daughters and later adopted their only son. Eventually, they relocated to Newtonville, NJ and purchased "Brinson's General Grocery Store". This was Lenora's first job and she enjoyed talking with customers. She knew everyone by name and truly built a rapport within her community. Together, Lenora and Frank ran their general store until their girls graduated school. While living there, they also attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. After selling the store, they relocated to Collings Lakes, NJ.
Lenora moved to Florida with her husband after he retired in 1996. They settled in Casselberry and enjoyed the warm tropical weather. Lenora and Frank became members of Macedonia Missionary Baptist in Eatonville, FL, where Willie C. Barnes was their Pastor. A devout and blessed stay-at-home wife, Lenora loved cooking, gardening, going to the mall, and going out to eat. Children and babies held a special place in Lenora's heart, and she found joy in playing, talking, and being around them.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents Lonza and Tempie Hall, her husband Charles F. Brinson, her brother Claude Hall, her sisters Louisa Hall and Mae Ross, her son David Brinson, and her daughter Cheryl Annette Caldrone.
Left to cherish her memories are: daughters- Sheila Boone-Martin of Longwood, FL, Sharon Burnett-Viteo of Williamstown, NJ and Kathy Stubbs (Winston) of Williamstown, NJ.
