Obituary of Ada E. Mendez

Ada E. Mendez was a caring daughter, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly July 5, 2022 at the age of 71. Ada was born to Emilio Mendez and Julia Figueroa on January 29, 1951 in Cidra, Puerto Rico. Ada adored spending time with her family, taking care of her parents, listening to music and gardening. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed crafting and was wise beyond her years. She spent most of her days surrounded by her siblings, laughing and enjoying time with her nieces and nephews. Ada was preceded in death by her loving parents, Julia and Emilio, her older brothers, Hector L. Mendez, Benigno Mendez, her older sister Gladys Ortiz, and her younger brother Luis A. Mendez. Ada’s memory remains with her siblings : Maria L. Mendez (Angel Garcia), Hilda R. Mendez (Angel Melendez), Ana A. Mendez, Neida Quinones (Oswaldo Quinones Jr), Felix A. Mendez (Carmen Perez), Migdalia Mendez (Angel Nieves), and Magdalena Mendez, who she lived with for her final years in Hammonton, NJ. She was also beloved by numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by everyone she touched and cherished always. A viewing for Ada will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Burial will be in Cidra Cemetery in Puerto Rico. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation 20 Pine Mill Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
