I remember I met Fr. Joe my freshman year at Camden Catholic in 2016. He was such an amazing person and I’m so glad to have known him. His presence at CCHS will be dearly missed. I love you Fr. Joe❤️

I am a parishioner at St.Luke's in Stratford. I can truly say that Father Joe left a lasting impression on me. He was truly one of God's angels here on earth. May he Rest in God's Eternal Home. He will be missed by so many.

Father Joey as we knew him married me and my husband Barry on July 9, 1994 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark NJ. He and his late parents were friends with my parents and since we needed a priest to marry us, Father Joey agreed to travel from the Cherry Hill area to Newark on a very hot day. We are eternally grateful for officiating our ceremony and will never forget his kindness. Rest in peace Father Joey.

Father Capella - Joe as we Hammonton classmates and band mates knew you by. There was always a special light of goodness that radiated from you. How wonderful you chose to shine this light on so many through your service to Our Lord. How blessed are those you shared your caring spirit with. To my cousin Fr. Joe Capella. Cuz our many years spent growing up as children in Hammonton will always be remembered as good times. My fondest memory was the day you and I met at the at the bedside of my Lynda as she lay dying from the cancer that was consuming her. You were the rock in my time of need. Rest In Peace dear cousin God Bless.
