Obituary of Gloria Ruth Kilson

In loving memory of Gloria Ruth Kilson, warmly known by family as "Eggie", was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend & so much more. Born October 18, 1972 in Fort Dix, New Jersey, and her final resting place, her longtime home of Somers Point, New Jersey where she was a resident for 22 years. Gloria was 49 years old, a devout Jehovah's Witness and a true testament to her faith. During her time on this Earth, Gloria attended Oakcrest High School where she participated in the Girls Choir and graduated in 1991. Gloria also attended STAR Technical Institute where she ultimately received her Medical Assistant certification. She worked for years as a medical assistant, however was multifaceted in the workfront. Gloria enjoyed attending family events, spending time with her loved ones and most of all, she loved her coffee. She was passionate about R&B/ Oldies music and enjoyed an occasional Corona with lime from time to time. Gloria was a survivor of Cancer two times over, and refused to allow her ailments affect her life. She was a Warrior. She was an avid member of her church, The Kingdom Hall, and a well-known member of her community. Gloria was loved by many and will be missed by so many more. Gloria leaves behind her three children, James W. Kilson, Alyssa N. Dorsey & Aliyah R. Dorsey; two grandchildren, Hasani and Nalani Bethea; her mother, Genevieve Beale; her sisters, Cynthia Kilson- Brewington, Geneva Kilson-Saia, & Gwendolyn Kilson-Coleman, and a plethora of nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. She is predeceased by her father, Gilbert S. Kilson; and her brother, Gilbert "Butch" Kilson Jr. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 3, 2022, 11:00 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
