Obituary of Anthony J. Juestrich

Anthony J. Juestrich, 89, of Dresher, PA and formerly of Hammonton, NJ passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Jefferson Abington Hospital. Born in Teaneck Township, NJ he was a resident of Hammonton for sixty years before moving to Dresher two years ago. Anthony graduated from Rutgers with a degree in Animal Husbandry, served in the military and returned to Rutgers to study horticulture and received his teaching certificate. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring he was a Vocational Agriculture Teacher at Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing for 31 years, and was an active member of the Future Farmers of America in South Jersey. He was named Agriscience Teacher of the year as well as the recipient of the Governor's Teaching Excellence Award. Beyond his family, he considered his greatest legacy the many achievements and accomplishments of his former students. In retirement, he enjoyed gardening, landscaping, local sports and listening to jazz.
He was predeceased by his parents, Max and Rose Juestrich and his sister, Marta Juestrich. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nadine "Dee" Juestrich (nee Galli), and his three children, Steven Justrich, Paul Juestrich (Christine) and Nancy Davidheiser (Scott), one granddaughter, Maya Davidheiser, one sister, Emilie Herrmann (Raymond) and two nieces, Stefanie and Rae.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID 19 Pandemic funeral services have been changed to private funeral services at the convenience of the family.
