Obituary of Ivan Deleon

Ivan Deleon, 29, of Hammonton passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden after an extended illness. Born in Torrance, CA he lived in Hammonton for the past year. Ivan worked for U-Haul Moving and Storage of Cedar Brook as a customer service associate. Ivan, was best known for talking smack and never backing it up. The only thing greater than his smack talk was his resolve to always make sure his loved ones were taken care of to the best of his abilities. His resolve was unlike anyone else you would ever meet. Regardless of his situation he always made it a priority to care of his family. It'd be safe assuming in most cases though to think his family always came first, but it was his love for anime and cats that reigned supreme. Jessie, his little cat empress was the one who sat comfortably atop the thrown known as Ivan's heart. A true cat daddy till the very end. Ivan is survived by his parents, Sonia Martinez-Mateo and Juan Deleon, his brother, Edwin Deleon, his sister Astrid Deleon and his nephew Kieran Deleon all of Hammonton. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, 7:00 pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be Private and at the convenience of the family.
