Obituary of Maryland D. Mobley

Maryland D. Mobley, 92, of Newtonville, NJ passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Inspira Medical Center. Born in Newport News, VA. she lived in Newtonville for many years. Mrs. Mobley worked as a nursing supervisor for Kessler Memorial Hospital for over 23 years, was a team leader at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital for 10 years, and worked in the medical unit at Bally's Park Place for 10 years. She was a member of the Oziel Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Rosebud Chapter No. 47 in Mizpah, a member of the Senior Citizens in Newtonville, a lifetime member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated and a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Hammonton. Mrs. Mobley was a diehard Eagles and Phillies fan. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Melvin F. Mobley, Sr. Mrs. Mobley is survived by her two children, Melvin F. Mobley, Jr. of San Antonio, TX and Michelle E. Mobley of Newtonville; her three granddaughters, Meredith L. Mobley-Matteson, Meressa A. Garza; Maryanne M. Mobley and one great grandson, James Matteson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 in the First United Methodist Church, 398 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery, Newtonville. A viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 3, 2021 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. A second viewing will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations to the family to help offset medical bills would be greatly appreciated.
