Obituary of Philip R. Jones

Philip Robert Jones Sr., born in Buffalo, NY on January 24, 1932 passed away on August 3, 2021 at the age of 89 years old. Phil was a US Air Force Veteran and an Eagle Scout. He spent over 30+ years playing Santa Clause for thousands of children. He was the hit of the neighborhood with his Sugar Boy Ice Cream truck and also his magic tricks. He was married to Evelyn Patricia Jones for 55 years and had a very large family including 7 children, 24 grandchildren and a large number of great and great great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all. A viewing will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, 10:00 am - 11:00 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206, Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Bushnell Veteran's Cemetery in Florida.
