I have some amazing memories of my cousin JoAnn. She had a bigger than life personality! When I was little she took me to baseball games and to do stuff. Great memories of Mother Day going with Uncle Augie, Aunt Rosie, my Mom and Pop and JoAnn to Lancaster for the day. Such great memories; Zinn's Diner; 7 Sweets and 7 Sours restaurant. Crabbing; clam bakes and I could go on. Life took us down different paths but the memories persist all these years later. JoAnn is with the family and I'm sure having some good laughs. I hope cousin you are at peace. Paula

My name is Anthony Figueroa. My wife Lori Ann and I were neighbors with JoAnn for 4 years. In that small amount of time we became not only neighbors but family. Our friendship was built on trust and respect for each other but most of all love. JoAnn helped us through some difficult times with her kind words and also her friendly advice. We will miss her immensely!!! Our thoughts and prayers will always be with JoAnn, her family and her friends.

Growing up Aunt JoAnn, as I affectionately called her, was my favorite person on this planet. As her God Daughter, I got a lot her time and attention. I will always remember our Christmas and Easter dress shopping trips and having lunch at Roy Rogers. Having her stop over a few times a week to play canasta with my mom and bring cupcakes for my brother and I. I especially remember playing sick at school so she would pick me up and take me to Uncle Augie’s for lunch. Through family dynamics and time, we lost touch but I always held a special place in my heart for my favorite person - Aunt JoAnn. Rest peacefully. I love you. Lindsey

So sad to hear about Joann's passing. We worked together so many time over the years at the the CCC. Will not forget her or her parents and enjoyed a few "Yeagers" over the years at Auggies. Robert and Marra Pizio.

I worked with Joann at the Casino Control Commission and was friends with her over 40 years. She was a great friend, a fantastic cookie maker and a wonderful daughter to Augie and Rose. Joann loved to gamble and we went to Las Vegas and the Borgata many times. We shared so many happy times as well as sad times through the years. She was a good friend. The past year had not been easy for her but she is at peace now with her Mom and Dad. Joann, my friend, Rest in Peace and Play that slot machine in the sky.
Love,
Laurie Amiano

JoAnn was my classmate (HHS 1967) and ACC (1968-69), She was part of the college carpool when
we all travelled back and forth to the ACC campus in Mays Landing. The last time I spoke with her was at
a HHS reunion years ago. I learned that she had become a successful Investigator with the Casino Control
Commission. JoAnn was always professional and polite.
We will always remember JoAnn and her father Augie for the great breakfast and lunch they prepared at
Augie's Diner located on the White Horse Pike in Hammonton. The Sorrentino family fed a multitude of Troop "A"
Troopers for many, many years. Those were happy times.
Rest in Peace JoAnn. Robert Caruso
