Obituary of Forrest D. Hoffman
Please share a memory of Forrest to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Forrest D. Hoffman, 84, of Mullica Township passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2021 at his residence. This morning the world became a little less bright as we said our "see you later" to our Dad. He was born June 12, 1937 to Fred and Margaret Hoffman in Johnstown, PA. Forrest was a loving and adoring husband of 63 years to his one and only true love, our mother, Catherine Hoffman.
Forrest and Catherine raised 3 children Edward (Joanne), Deborah Kendall (Joseph) and David, he was Pappy to his 5 grandchildren, Heather, Krystal, Jolyn, Joseph and Timothy and great grandchildren, Kayla, Kayleigh, Skye, Luna, Logan and Harley . He was the most loving and caring father that anyone could ever ask for. He was always there for us...
Forrest went by many names, Son, Brother, Husband, Uncle, Cousin, Father, - but I would say that his name "Pappy" was one of his top names.
Forrest worked as the head of of the Housekeeping Department at Ancora Hospital for 23 years, before he retired. He found comfort in gardening, and raising numerous koi fish.
Pappy was an avid Eagles fan ,and it was a blessing that he got to live long enough for the Eagles to finally win a Super Bowl.
Pappy always had advice for someone, and he was known for his kindness, his smile and he would give a stranger the shirt off his back.
If he were to say anything right now it would be "Remember to slow down. Life can get too fast enjoy the little things before they are gone. spend time those you love. always treat people with kindness, love and respect- you never know their struggle."
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday 12:00 PM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton. Entombment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
