Christian (Chris) L. Watt, 70 of Pleasant Mills (Hammonton), NJ passed away on July 27, 2011 at home. Formerly of Haddonfield, NJ, Chris attended Haddonfield High School and Valley Forge Military Academy. During the 60's Chris and his brother, Edwin founded Watt Electric, Inc. which operated in Collingswood, NJ for many years. When the company outgrew the Collingswood facility they relocated to Indian Mills, NJ, now known as Shamong, NJ. Chris eventually took over the company and moved the business to the industrial park he built on Linda Lane, Southampton Township. Chris married his loving wife Linda in 1973, and they made their home in Indian Mills for eleven years. In 1984 they moved to Pleasant Mills on the Mullica River. Chris's second love was flying. He was an avid pilot and if one could not find him, all one had to do was look up. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic, his genius in the electrical field, taking on challenges, problem solving and for his true generosity. He leaves behind his loving wife of thirty eight years Linda, brother Edwin and his wife Sally of North Carolina, his niece, Theresa and his nephew, Teddy. A memorial service will be held Thursday August 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Pinelands United Methodist Church at Batsto - Pleasant Mills, 4200 Nesco Road, Mullica Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300 Marlton, NJ 08053.
