Jason and I worked closely together at Skylight. I was his outsourced CFO and tax guy. Jason had many gifts I admire. He had the ability to communicate with someone he just met and make them feel like he has known them for years. I introduced him to a fellow consultant and my college roommate. I was so impressed how they bonded immediately and were planning to work together. I also admired his willingness to help others. I will always be grateful that he took my clueless college student son to lunch and helped him forge a plan for his studies and suggested career options. I will miss his mischievous smile, wit, gratitude, humility and friendship. I learned much more from Jason than I had the chance to tell him. I will miss him dearly.

Jason was invested in doing great work - he brought me into Booz Allen when he was starting up public-private partnership work, and was promoting a lot of other projects of high value to international development. He was very business savvy, and led an admirable pivot to spearhead a new business for the company around Digital Listening. I am personally grateful to him for several reasons. He brought me into the firm and gave me my break into consulting, which has given me a great deal of personal and career satisfaction as well as job security over the last 9 years. He completely supported me when I needed to move to San Francisco for my husband's new job, when it would have been so easy for him to say I was on my own and the team couldn't support my move to an area where we didn't currently have any business. He went to bat for me against a senior leader that had some personal issues with me, even though that brought him some flak. And I always truly enjoyed talking with him. I felt he was an open, genuine, down-to-earth individual who cared a lot about the folks on his team, his friends, and his family while still getting so much accomplished. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing and am frankly somewhat in disbelief - he was such a vibrant individual and I wish we could chat again. Jason - thank you so much for all you did for me.

Dear Kemp family,
Jason was my colleague who became an immediate friend. I had the great privilege of meeting him while he was at Booz and I at Georgetown. His grit, intellect and smarts were matched with his patience and humor. Through every difficult or mind-numbing experience, Jason played the role of an exceptional intermediary or translator who broke things down into the buckets of that which was logical and that which required laughter. He touched people in a lasting way, and I am one. My heart broke at the news of his light no longer shining on this earth, but I take solice in seeing his star shine bright in the sky. Sending you prayers and wishing you peace - he left an indelible legacy with the family he loved and the difference he made in this world.
