Ana V. Cruz (nee Valentin) 81 of Hammonton died Wednesday at Virtua Health Systems in Marlton. Born in Isabella, Puerto Rico she was a longtime resident of Hammonton. She formerly owned Isabella Restaurant in Hammonton. She was a member of the Puerto Rican Civic Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Crencencio "Chencho" Cruz , son, John Cruz and step children, Ismael Cruz and Anibal Cruz. She is survived by her daughter, Sonia Bermudez and her husband Jesus of Hammonton, two brothers, Manuel Valentino of Hammonton and Juan Valentin of Puerto Rico, five grandchildren, Johnny Cruz Jr., Christopher Cruz (Suzanne), Jessica Cruz, Manny Bermudez (Jaymie), and Jonathan Bermudez, three great grandchildren, Alexia, Lucas and Dylan Bermudez and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held Friday 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. Funeral services will be Saturday 9:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053-3101.
