Obituary of Charldon David Edwards

Please share a memory of Charldon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charldon D. Edwards was born on September 6, 1960 to Patricia and Lomax Edwards in Jamaica Queens, New York. Charldon who was affectionately known by many as CD attended the New York school system. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army. Moving to Atlantic City in 1986, he started his career at Trump Plaza in EVS and Galvanizer, taking on many odds and ends jobs as a handy man always willing to fix anything. This is when he realized his calling and love for carpentry and opened his own business, CD Edwards Service in 2005. He married his high school sweetheart, Donna Ostrander in 1977 in Queens, NY where their union was blessed with three children, Felicia, Charldon, Jr. and Shonda. He later met the love of his life Evelyn Williams also known as Nadine. CD was a people person with an outgoing personality. His quick-witted sense of humor and ability to capture the moment attracted many friends. Everyone he came in contact with would agree with this statement "To know him, you have to love him." We would be remissed if we didn't mention his favorite saying "It's a done deal!" Charldon was predeceased by his mother, Patricia King, grandparents Lewis and Bennie Mae Bell. He leaves to cherish his memories with the love of his life Evelyn Williams, his daughter, Felicia E. Edwards from Buena, NJ, son Charldon D. Edwards, Jr. from Queens, NY, daughter, Shonda N. Edwards from Buena, NJ; two sisters Temera I. Stafford and Tanjonica S. Brinson and one brother Chakeem H. King; three grandchildren, Destiny Edwards, Shawn Rice, Jr., Imani Draper; one niece Janae Dunkley; five nephews, Brontae Dunkley, Michael Stafford, Jr., Dante Montgomery, Jordan Stafford and Jaiden Dunkley and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 14, 2017, 1:00pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 12:00pm until 1:00pm. Burial will be private.
