Obituary of Johnnie Lee Jackson

Johnnie Lee Jackson who was affectionately, called "Jam". Was born to late Johnnie and Pauline Jackson on May 7, 1952 in Fort Valley Ga. Johnnie departed his life peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City, New Jersey Campus. "Jam" as he was affectionately called, moved to New Jersey at an early age where he attended the Hammonton Elementary public school system in Hammonton, New Jersey. He then went to Cleary Junior High School in Minotola, New Jersey and became a graduate of Vineland High School in Vineland, New Jersey. "Jam" then started his adulthood by joining the United States Army, where he served during the Vietnam War. He had a passion for working on cars, riding his bike, taking long walks and mostly keeping his neighborhood clean. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, where he loved and enjoyed food and family. Jam was lastly employed by Herr's Food Inc. in Egg Harbor City, NJ for many years. Johnnie was predeceased by his parents. Johnnie leaves to cherish his fondest memory, 5 children: his daughters; Guenis Smith (Stephen) of Sicklerville, NJ and Francine Jackson of Vineland, NJ, his sons, Darrell Shaud, Johnnie Jackson both of Millville, NJ and Anthony Johnnie Jackson of Atlantic City, NJ. His fives sibling, his sisters, Juanita Spellman of Hammonton, NJ, Annie Laura Barbin (Jimmie) of Elwood, NJ, Robin Barbin (Richard) of Galloway, NJ and Tawanna Jackson of Hammonton, NJ, his brother, Johnnie Jackson Hirsch, of Texas. Three loving grandchildren Detaniel, Malyahka, and Shari Smith all of Sicklerville, NJ. A special aunt Clara Belvin, of Vineland, New Jersey. He also leaves behind two Special cousins Elizabeth Jackson of Vineland, New Jersey and Johnny B. Bembry (Betty) of Elwood, NJ, his lifetime companion, Roseann Graziano of Atlantic City, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, 11:00 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, NJ where a viewing will be held fro 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton
