Uncle Cliffy,
You will never be forgotten. Almost every memory I have when I was young, all involves you. I will always remember and save you a butterfinger when we get Halloween candy! I will be sure to share all the stories I have with you, with my kids. They will know what a great Uncle I was lucky enough to have. There truly never was a dull moment with you! You always were joking and making us laugh with your humor. Give Grandma Sis a big hug from us all. I love you forever and always.
Your Neice,
Amber Lynn Buentello

THE BROKEN CHAIN
By Ron Tranmer
We little knew the day that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories.
Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

Eulogy
MY BROTHER, MY FRIEND
It has been such a journey being Earls sister for almost 48 years. . For the past 24 years, I have overseen his medical care which gave us lots of time to spend together. Time and memories I will cherish forever. Time I will look and smile back at. I will forever be grateful for that gift. My brother and I had a special bond that was unlike any other. He knew I had his back, and would never leave him. He knew I would never abandon him under any circumstance. He wasn’t always the easiest to deal with, but who is? We all have our flaws and our vices. And we all know how stubborn us Wootons are. My brother lived 64 years. Along the way he touched many lives. Not just close family, but his extended family at the facility he lived at. The outpouring of love by the nurses and aides is indescribable. Many times I recall bringing him Wawa coffee and sweets, (anything chocolate mostly) and watching the Eagles play at mom and dads. These were very special times for Daddy and Earl. One time I took him to a house that had horses and we got out and he was so excited. The owners had given us permission to pet and feed them carrots. The smile on his face is something I will never forget. He was so happy just to be around horses again. I think it reminded him of his younger years. He would enjoy when we would pick him up for Sunday dinners. Sometimes I would pick him up and take him to the bay and just have brother and sister time just simply talking and enjoying the scenery and one another’s company. If the facility wasn’t doing something to his liking he would tell them, “I’m gonna call my little sister and you don’t want that”.To say the least, the facility quickly remedied the situation. Family was very important to Earl. He loved the family reunions and playing horseshoes with his uncles and cousins. He was proud to have served our country for 3 years in the National Guard and told everyone he met about his time there. About 9 years ago I brought him a Bible and had a talk with him about Jesus and asked what his beliefs were. I also read him John 3:16 and explained that verse to him at length. To my surprise, my brother was a believer and I have to say it was one of the happiest moments for me. During his last days, he would grab my husbands cross that I wear everyday and he would just stare at it and hold on to it tightly in his hands. They were beautiful moments in such a sad time. It was at that moment, I knew for sure that my brother was going to Heaven to meet all of our loved ones that have gone before us. I believe it was God who placed me by his side for the last four days and last two overnights with him. My heart broke the moment I watched him take his last breath. I lost a part of me when he entered Heaven at 9:10am , Sunday January 22nd, 2023.
I have always felt loved by my brother ever since I was a little girl. And the feeling was mutual. Life is going to be so different without him being just a phone call away. The pain of losing him breaks my heart, but the thought that makes me smile now even as the tears fall down , that the only scars in Heaven are the ones that hold him now! I ask each and everyone of you today, please pick up the phone and call your loved ones. Please don’t wait for a family reunion or a funeral. God gave us all each other for a reason. Check on those you love. Tomorrow’s are not guaranteed. Sometimes it’s just nice to hear from a family member.
And to my brother, Heavens lucky to have you, and so was I! The void will never go away until I hug you again in Heaven. And no matter what anybody says about grief and time healing all wounds, the truth is, there are inevitable sorrows that never fade away , until the heart stops beating and the last breath is taken, and we meet on those streets of gold. The hardest part was not losing you, it is learning how to live without you and the incompleteness that I feel.
I will miss you every day and remember your laughter, your stubbornness, you calling all the ladies foxy, and our unbreakable bond. You will always hold a piece of my heart! I was so honored to be your baby sister! Until God calls me home, sleep peacefully with the Angels. Please give all of our Aunts and Uncles, Grandpop and Grandmom, and my husband a great big hug for us. Today may have been a celebration on your life on Earth, but I have a feeling that you are celebrating your eternal life in Heaven everyday. I am so blessed that you took Jesus into your heart! It brings me a sense of joy that I will see you again! I will carry you in my heart, cherish our memories, and thank God for the time we were given together. I hope you know how loved you were and I look forward to the day we meet again!
Love Always,
Your Baby Sister

My big brother and I spent a lot of time together through the years. Some of my happiest moments with him were Sunday night dinners, watching the Eagles play with family, taking him to the bay with a chocolate donut and Wawa coffee and watching him just staring at nature. I will miss our talks when we were alone. My brother always knew he could count on me, and that meant the world to me. I think I needed him more than he needed me. I will forever miss him and there will always be a hole in my heart! He loved his family so much. It was an honor to be his sister for 47 years and 5 months!
