Obituary of Avelina Rodriguez

Avelina Rodriguez (nee Ramirez), 69, loving wife of 42 wonderful years of marriage to Jose A. Rodriguez has passed away peacefully in their home on September 3, 2017. Besides her husband she is survived by 11 brothers and sisters and 30 nieces and nephews. She left a legacy of love to her husband and exemplified strength, hope and filled her family with innumerable memories. Born in Mexico to Andres and Dominga Ramirez, she came to the U.S. where she spent her life strengthening her familial bonds, demonstrating acts of love to all who knew her. Leaving everyone with a generous portion of her happiness and warm smile. She worked at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital for over 26 years where she retired in 2008. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, and Friday, September 8, 2017 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will take place Friday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton.
