Obituary of Albrecht W. Grampp

Albrecht W. Grampp passed away July 6, 2017 at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife Kathe Grampp and son Mark Grampp of Hammonton. He is also survived by his sister Gudrun K. Quinn and brother in law John Quinn of Milford, PA. Albrecht was predeceased by his brother Harold Grampp and son Erick Grampp. Albrecht was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and while stationed in Frankfurt, Germany met his wife Kathe. They were married for 69 years. Albrecht was employed with Blue Ridge Carpets as a sales representative before retiring. After retirement he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Edison State University. Albrecht worked part time as a substitute teacher in German language studies at local high schools. Albrecht also volunteered his time teaching inmates at local correction facilities about the Bible and Bible History. In 2012 he was given the Joint Legislative Commendation from the State of New Jersey for his volunteerism. Albrecht also served for 58 years as an Elder with the English Hammonton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. A funeral is scheduled July 15, 2017 at 2:30pm at the Hammonton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Egg Harbor, New Jersey.
