Obituary of Anthony B. Berenato

Anthony B. Berenato, 90, of Hammonton passed away at home on Thursday, January 7, 2016. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. Mr. Berenato was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of the 1st Calvary Division Association. Before retiring he worked as an operating engineer for the Operating Engineers Local No. 825. He really enjoyed spending time outside doing yardwork and gardening. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen J. Berenato (nee Perna), his son, Jerry Berenato, and his grandson, Joseph Mauriello. He is survived by one daughter, Donna M. Mauriello (Robert); one son, Michael Berenato (Debbie), seven grandchildren, Ellen Shendock, Steven Berenato, Robert Mauriello (Alexandra), Jenn Stepenoski (Nick), Anthony Berenato (Brittany), Brittany Smythe (Chris), and Maureen Berenato and ; nine great grandchildren, Karalyne and Victoria Shendock, Cole and Eden Mauriello, Anthony J. Berenato, Nick Berenato, Anthony Eldridge, Angelina Berenato and Armani Berenato; and two sisters, Dorothy Ford and Rita Husta (Joe) . A visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Arrangements by the Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammonton.
