Lucy Caruso of Hammonton, NJ, (née Perrone), passed away on February 16, 2026. She was born in Waterford, NJ and resided in Hammonton for many years. Lucy worked at Hammonton Park Clothing and was the first woman elected president of ACWA Local 217 and represented the Local at several Amalgamated conventions. She was a member of the Canoe Club of Hammonton and served on the Auxiliary at Kessler Memorial Hospital. Lucy loved to play Pinochle and never turned down an invitation to join a game.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Ervin; her sisters, Pauline Mauriello, Millie Chiaradonna, and Jennie Mattiacci; her brothers, Austin, Joe, Sam, and Frank. She was a dedicated friend to many and a wonderful, fun-loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed. Everybody loved Lucy!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday, March 9, 2026, 9:30am -10:30 am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton.
