Rose Norris Obituary

Rose J. Norris (nee LoSasso), 91, of Hammonton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Born and raised in Hammonton, Rosie grew up on Pleasant Mills Road and later made her home on Columbia Road. She spent twelve years in Port Richey, Florida before returning to the town she always considered home.

Rosie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Earl E. Norris; her parents, Ralph and Bessie LoSasso (nee Carr); her sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Pinto, Dorothy "Fuzzy" Zappala and Jeannie Smith and her brothers, Ralph "Beanie" LoSasso and Phillip "Pete" Ford.

She is survived by her sisters, Marie Giamporcaro and Alice "Lollie" Petruzzi, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She also leaves behind her devoted "adopted" son, David Bolton; her caring neighbor and friend, David Dandrea, and her two cherished feline companions.

From a young age, Rosie worked alongside her siblings on the family's Pleasant Mills Farm, where she learned the value of hard work and quiet perseverance. Like many in Hammonton, she later worked in a local clothing factory and eventually at Holland Floral. No matter the job, she carried with her a strong work ethic and steady determination.

Rosie found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo, listening to country music, and relaxing with a Budweiser. She could often be found on her front porch, cigarette in hand, watching the world go by. Though soft-spoken and content to stay in the background, she was always observant, and her shy, warm laugh left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Batsto Pleasant Mills Cemetery, Nesco.

A special thank you is extended to the nurses who cared for Rosie, especially Ana. In her memory, donations may be made to Angelic Health (www.angelic.health.com)
