Dolores N. Avelino Obituary

Dolores (Repici) Avelino, 93, of Washington Township, passed away peacefully at her home on January 15, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. Dee, as she was affectionately referred to by family and friends, was born in Philadelphia, PA. Later planting roots in Hammonton, where she raised a family centered on love, loyalty, and quiet acts of devotion.

Dolores was the matriarch of her family. Nothing brought her more joy than time spent together, especially Sunday dinner. A longstanding family tradition that she looked forward to each week, where so many treasured memories were made. Dolores cherished her nightly ritual of sending goodnight texts to her great grandchildren, a small gesture that meant so much to those who received them.

Dolores had a special fondness for life's simple pleasures. She relished a sweet treat from the Amish market. Her son, Joe, happily made the weekly trip to ensure chocolates sheepishly landed in her pocket as the family embraced to exchange goodbyes at the end of an evening. Those little moments made ordinary days feel special. A loving caregiver by nature, Dolores gave selflessly to her family and to others throughout her life, always putting those she loved first.

She was predeceased by her son, Francis P. Fusco Jr., and her grandson, Francis P. Fusco III. She is survived by her son, Joseph J. Repici (Elisabeth), her brother, Charlie Bianco; her grandchildren, Cassie Deal (Daniel), Joseph Repici Jr (Stacie), Desiree Repici and her five great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Deal, Joseph Repici lll, Abigail Deal, Marisol Rivera-Fusco, and Alyssa Watson, all of whom will carry her love and traditions forward. She also leaves behind a fur baby, Molly.
