Robert G. Scherfel Sr., 85 of Collings Lakes, NJ passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Allegria at the Fountains in Atco, NJ. Born in Clementon, NJ he has lived in the Collings Lakes since 1964. Before retiring he worked for Formigli Concrete and High Concrete in Berlin as a masonry carpenter. Bob enjoyed bowling and was in various leagues over the years at DiDonato's Bowling Center in Hammonton. He was a member of the Citizens Voice Association in Collings Lakes. Bob also enjoyed fishing, clamming, working on cars and wood crafting.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Myrtle Scherfel, his siblings, Bill Scherfel, Harold Scherfel, Harvey Scherfel and sister in law, Trudy Scherfel. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Marge" Scherfel (nee Cox), three children, Margie Rutberg, Robert Scherfel Jr., Ken Scherfel, and two granddaughters, Ashley Rutberg, and Rachael Rutberg.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will take place at 5:30 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
