Edythe was a proud member of the E.C.W., supporting the church and community providing, among other things, handmade newborn baby layette sets to those in need, devoting time keeping up with church activities and fund raisers, as well as feeding seniors and church goers lunches and monthly meal gatherings.

Edythe is predeceased by her parents George L. Baker and Elizabeth Baker-Bender, brothers George Baker and Thomas Baker, sister Joyce Zeihn, her son Charles J. Lolio, niece Patricia Brisco and nephews Steven Baker and James Waycaster. She shared her life with late husbands, Charles P. Lolio (m. 1951-1997) and Joseph C. Asselta (m. 2007-2012).
