Michael A. Bellace Jr. Obituary

Michael A. Bellace, Jr., 68 of Sweetwater passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident of Mullica Township and graduated from Oakcrest High School. Before retiring, Michael worked at Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City. He spent 28 years prior to that working general maintenance at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City and, also, at Pathmark in Turnersville. While watching his children grow up and working a full time job, he also spent time buying and selling houses alongside with his family. Michael was an affiliate 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 3500 in Egg Harbor City, where he previously served as Grand Knight and Recorder. Michael was a longtime member of the 4-H. During his childhood, he began participating in the 4-H. Once his children were old enough, he continued with the 4-H as an involved parent and then, later, as a volunteer. While not being an active member of the community, he enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time at his New York vacation home, traveling to the Philippines with his wife once they retired, and spending time together with his family and granddogs.

He was predeceased by his parents Michael A. Bellace Sr and Lela Mae Bellace (nee Combs). He will be sadly missed by his wife, Nenita "Nita" Bellace (nee Elizaga), two children, Melissa Bellace and Michael A. Bellace III, his brother, Bruce Bellace Sr. (Donna), his sisters, Patricia Jensen (Ken) and Sharon McCullough (Wayne), his uncle, Pete Bellace and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, and Wednesday, December 3. 2025 from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, 226 French Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037
