Emilio "Cookie" Figueroa, Jr., 87, of Hammonton passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, after an extended illness. Raised in Vineland, NJ he was a 1955 Graduate of Vineland High School. He was an entrepreneur owning several businesses in Hammonton. He owned and operated Glenn's Hair Place, he opened Movies to Go, one of the first video stores and was the founder of Pro 1 Signs. Cookie enjoyed boating, fishing, and crabbing, especially with his grandchildren. He loved going to the casinos and playing cards with family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Hammonton Lions Club and former member of the Hammonton All Sports Booster Club. He was predeceased by his parents, Emilio and Muncie Figueroa, Sr., and his brothers, Raymond and Louis. Cookie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Josephine Figueroa (nee Vaccarelli); his three sons and their spouses, Glenn and Tina Figueroa, Bruce and MaryAnne Figueroa; Scott and Sharon Figueroa; his daughter and her husband, Mary-Jo and Thomas Ricca; his sister Enid Silva (Louis); 11 grandchildren, Morgan (Jeremy), Anthony (Stefany), April (Joseph), Garrett, Gianna, Scott, Jr., Austin (Gabrielle), Daniel, Ryan, Thomas, Jr. and Gabriella and nine great grandchildren, Hannah, Lucas, Nathan, Violet, Remy, Kai, Owen, Emma and Cole.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 11, 2025, 11:30 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 9:30 am until 11:15 am. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
