John M. Galea, 83, of Hammonton passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Spring Village at Hammonton. Born in Rabat, Malta he has been a resident of Hammonton for fifty seven years. Before his retirement he worked for New Jersy Deptcore in Trenton. He enjoyed gardening, yardwork, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. He was an avid follower of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers and Manchester United Soccer.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Rose Galea, and his brother Mario. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, James J. and Melissa Galea, his granddaughter, Juliana Galea, his brothers, Joe, Paul and Manuel and his sisters, Annie, Carmen, Tonina and Vickie.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
