Dawn M. Umosella (née Shaffer), age 59, of Hammonton, passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side on Sunday, November 2, 2025, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Berlin, Dawn made Hammonton her home for the past forty years.

Dawn loved cooking and entertaining, and she was happiest surrounded by family and friends. A true animal lover, she especially cherished the time spent with her beloved grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

She was predeceased by her father, Howard Shaffer Jr., and her mother, Florence Dale Milligan-Douglass. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Robert Small, and Nicole and Robert Campbell; her four cherished grandchildren, R.J., Madison, Carson, and Jason; her brother, Howard Shaffer III; her nephew, Howard Shaffer IV; and her loyal parrot, Sonny.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street, Hammonton, NJ, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, 651 Zion Road, Egg Harbor Township.
