Marie High, 99, of Mays Landing passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, September 5, 2025. Born Darby, PA to her parents, Arthur and Edna Franklin, Marie has lived in the Mays Landing area for ninety five years. She had worked at Shulton.s Inc. in Mays Landing for many years before her retirement. Marie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family. In her earlier years she enjoyed gardening and she attended Bethlehem Baptist Church where her step grandparents, Rock and Dora Whitted were founders.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Raymond High, her daughter, Diane High, her parents, Arthur and Edna Franklin, her brother, Arthur Franklin and her sisters, Grace Murray and Edna Robinson. She is survived by five children, Phillip T. High Sr. (Stacy), Rhoda Barnes, Valerie Ortiz, Lynn High, and Robin Ingram (George), she is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, 8th Street in Newtonville.
