Helena A. Cavallaro Obituary

Helena A. Cavallaro, 81, of Hammonton, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025, after an extended illness. Born in West Berlin, NJ, she was a lifelong South Jersey resident. She was a former dispatcher for Voorhees Township Police Department. Helena was a founding member of both the Voorhees Volunteer Rescue Squad and Volunteer Fire Company, she was an EMT and very involved in both organizations. Helena was a devoted member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Berlin where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and ministered to many homebound members of the church. She was predeceased by her husband Catino "Tony" Cavallaro, her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Mossop, her brothers, Charles H. Mossop, Jr., Walter Mossop, George Mossop and by her sister Marge Morano. Helena is survived by her sister, Betty Giralo, her son, Catino Cavallaro and daughter, Christina Cavallaro.


Services and Burial were private at Waterford Memorial Park. Memorial Donations in Helena's name may be made to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1066, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
