Obituary of Ronald Dorsey, Sr.

Ronald Dorsey Sr., 69 passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. He was born on June 6, 1955 in Hammonton, New Jersey where he was raised with his siblings. He worked and retired from Atlantic Electric. He was a Hammonton High School 1974 graduate, and he also attended Cheyney University. He was an outstanding athlete in baseball and football, in which he was awarded the Old Grad Award as one of the best players in the state. Ronnie was a professional and amateur softball player where he traveled all of the county and became a LEGEND. He was inducted into the USSSA NJ & ASA Softball Hall of Fame and the Hammonton High School Hall of Fame. He was a youth and high school football, baseball and softball coach and mentor. Ronnie was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Ronnie was predeceased by his father and mother Cliff Senior and Sadie Dorsey, his brothers Bobby Grays, Cliff Jr., Billy, and his sisters Lillian and Lorraine Dorsey. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Levini (Beanie) (nee Crowder), son Ronald and daughter in law Tyleesha, his grandchildren Alaina, Miles and Airess, his brother, Henry Dorsey (Linda), his brothers in law, Frank Crowder (Nancy), George Crowder, Darryl Crowder (Rose), and Marvin Crowder (Leah) and a host of nephews and nieces, extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00 am at Harvest Church 272 Route 206, Hammonton, NJ. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton. Viewings will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton and on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at Harvest Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
