My condolences to Mr. Galinas' family & friends. I fondly remember having him as my Geography teacher back in the 70's and he made a subject [that wasn't one of my favorites ~ until I took his class!] - interesting and enjoyable with his patience, teaching skills, professionalism, and mild manner.
Charlie and I taught across the hall from each other and had playground duty together as well. He was a good friend as well as a great colleague. He had a wonderful sense of humor. I pray his family has many great memories to recall as they grieve his passing.
Uncle Charlie will forever hold a warm place in my heart. He was always making me feel so special and so loved and always making me laugh. I remember when I introduced him to my fiancé ( now husband) he said " you better be good to her or I'll put you in the meat grinder. That's how us Lithuanian's do it!" I'll miss him greatly.
