John Raymond McDowell, 74 of Pomona, NJ passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 9th, 2025. Born at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia,PA.

He is predeceased by his loving parents Raymond and Elizabeth (Betty) and darling niece Kelly Ann.

He is survived by his wife Sandra McDowell (née Muhlbaier) of 53 years. His 5 cherished children Kristy, Kimberly, Karie (Ernie), John Jr. (Amy), and Robert (Krissy). His most precious grandchildren David, Benjamin, Jason, Rayna, Julia, Nicholas, Justin, Megan, Kate, Steven, Brooklyn and his beloved great-grandchildren McKenzie and Mason. Also loving brother to Kevin (Carol), Sue(Elwood), and Patty.

His most joy and accomplishment in life was his family business, Hi-land Printers. Started by his father, Raymond and continued with him for many years and now still family owned by his nephew, Brian. Besides his grandchildren and great-grandchildren his love in life was deer hunting. The hunting cabin in Shunk, PA. was his home away from home. This cabin was a place that many friends and family gathered over the years. The refrigerator was always filled with an assortment of beverages and the outhouse was always stocked. His memory will forever stay there for years to come.

John was the sweetest, most kindest soul and will forever will be missed. Gone too soon.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025, 12:30 PM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, NJ where a visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 12:30 PM. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
