William F. McLurkin Jr.,(Freddie) 86 of Camden passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Born in Chester, South Carolina, he graduated from high school in Buffalo, NY and he was a longtime resident of South Jersey. Before retiring he worked at Southern State Correctional Facility for 36 years without ever missing a day of work. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Vineland.
He was predeceased by his parents. William F. McLurkin Sr. and Gene Maxine Watts, his wife, Dorothy (Hancock) McLurkin and his son, William F. McLurkin III. He is survived by his grandson, William F. McLurkin IV and granddaughter, Mikaela McLurkin and members of the Woods family.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February, 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 225 East Oak Road in Vineland. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
