Back in the 60's i played for the folsom rams baseball and played against one of the Spivies who pitched . A nice man and gentlemen ane a really good baseball player . I am sorry for your loss and grateful for knowing and playing ball with him

I haven't seen Kirby in 50 years. Back in the day we were teammates in semi-pro baseball with the Galloway Blue Sox and I later played against him on the Mizpah Cardinals. Whenever I think back to those days, Kirby immediately comes to mind. He was a very good player but a better teammate, friend and good person. He was always had a smile and an encouraging word. His accomplishments in service to his community come as no surprise to me. His passing is a great loss but his life seemed full and rewarding and we all benefitted from knowing him.
