Obituary of Bernice Bethea Heckstall

Bernice Bethea Heckstall, 71, of Egg Harbor City passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Fayetteville, NC she lived in the South Jersey area most of her life. Bernice retired from Harrah's Resort Casino after 35 years of service working in their Environmental Service Department. She was a member of Greater Love Chapel Church in Elwood, where she served as the Pastor Aide Leader to Pastor Dennis Clybourn. She is survived by her husband Henry Heckstall; her children, Tracy Thompson, Stacy Baxter, Barry Bogan Bethea, Theresa Strong; Robert Strong; her step-daughter, Nigel Heckstall, her sister Eunice Davis and her 12 grandchildren, Steven, Semetrius, Walter, Mikal, Tashaun, Quincey, Michelle, Joanna, Barry, Tanaya, A'nari and A'ziyah. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, 11:00 am at the Greater Love Chapel Church, 279 Prince Albert St., Elwood, NJ, where a closed casket viewing will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton.
