Obituary of George John Hayes

George John Hayes, Jr., 71, of Folsom passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. Born in Philadelphia he resided in Folsom for 60 years. He retired from the Atlantic City Expressway as a member of their Emergency Service Patrol Unit. Mr. Hayes was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus North American Martyrs Council #8718 in Collings Lakes. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. George is survived by his wife, Pamela Mary Hayes (nee Cermak) of Folsom; his three sons, George John Hayes, III, Thomas Edward Hayes and Mark John Hayes all of Folsom; one brother, William Hayes; his sister Dorothea Gerety and his three grandchildren, Hunter Hayes, George John Hayes, IV and Alyssa Hayes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Thursday, April 22, 2021, 11:00 am in Our Lady of The Lakes RC Church, 19 Malaga Road, Collings Lakes. Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Folsom. Viewings will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, April 22, 2021 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Memorial Donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus North American Martyrs Council #8718, 19 Malaga Road Collings Lakes, NJ 08094.
