Obituary of Josephine B. Santora

Josephine "Josie" B. Santora, (nee Gregori) 93, of Hammonton passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at her residence. Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident. Aunt Jo, as she was affectionately called by many, owned and operated Santora's Store in Rosedale for more then 30 years. She loved gardening and could always be found working in her yard. Mrs. Santora was predeceased by her husband, Daniel D. Santora, Sr. and her daughter, Kathleen J. Mock. She is survived by her three sons, Rocco T. Santora and his wife Ursula; Daniel D. Santora, Jr. and Mark A. Santora all of Hammonton; six grandchildren, Dana A. Grasso and her husband Tony; Rocco T. Santora, Jr., Michael D. Santora; Christopher A. Santora, John H. Mock and Robert D. Benner, 2 great grandchildren, Travis and Benjamin Grasso. A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 9:00 am - 10:30 am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Atlantic County, PO Box 205, Somers Point, NJ 08244.
