Denise and I went to grammar school through sophomore year in high school together. I moved away from Hazlet in 1967. She was always laughing, sweet, and concerned for me as a physically challenged classmate on braces and crutches resulting from polio as a toddler. Denise would carry my books or do little things to make my day easier. Our friendship was based in our mutual love of being Italian. God Bless her.
