Obituary of Annamae B. Sheridan

Annamae B Sheridan (nee Berenato) of Wilmington DE, passed away on Friday June 19, 2020 at Country House Retirement Community after a brief illness. Born and raised in Hammonton NJ, she spent her married life in Mendenhall PA before moving to Wilmington DE after the death of her husband. Annamae attended schools in Hammonton before attending and graduating from Temple University with a BA in Chemistry. She worked for DuPont Co. in a variety of technical and supervisory positions in NJ and DE. She retired in 1992 after a 36 year career. Annamae was a gentle woman who loved flowers and gardening. She had a deep commitment to her religion and the catholic church. This commitment prompted the founding of the BERDAN Support Fund with her husband to assist in the formation of religious clergy. A legacy that she has ensured will transcend their deaths. She was predeceased by her parents Antonio and Nellie (Campanella), and her husband John D Sheridan. She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. Covid 19 restrictions will be followed at viewing, Mass and burial. www.carnesalefuneralhome.com
