I was so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. My condolences to his family. Carl was a senior when I was a freshman at St. Joseph High. He treated us freshmen guys as pals & friends. I saw him perform a number of times. He was a pretty good Bass player. It's been a long time since I last spoke with Car, but he was always up for a conversation whenever we ran into one another. He was a good guy who will be missed by all he knew. May he rest in eternal peace.

Carl you were a wonderful friend and co-worker. Shared many good football discussions and I will always miss those. Since you left the County, things were never the same. Your professionalism and passion were exceptional. thank you for all the great lunches at Angelos, I cherished those times with you. RIP

Dottie, Joan and all of Carl's family, we are so very sad to learn of his passing. We will always remember Carl with a smile on his face no matter where he was but especially at one of St. Joe's games. He was such a nice guy and a true Wildcat. May the Lord give you strength to get through this very difficult time. Rest in peace Carl. You have certainly earned your wings. Give all of our family in Heaven a big hug for us. Until we meet again, may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.

Carl will be deeply missed by many, we called him "Mr. Hammonton" because anywhere we would go with him he would meet someone he knew from town-even at Phillies games! This picture is from a father's day game we went to with him and Dottie, he was like a second father to our son Brian, so you know we miss him already. He and Dottie even traveled with us to see Brian graduate from Cornell-we could always count on him and Dottie to be there no matter what. I know some of the greatest times in his life were the trips they took to Italy so I am sure he is in the Italy section of heaven!
Heaven now has another wonderful angel. Rest in Peace Carl.

There is no doubt in my mind how much Carl love Saint Joe’s sports and especially football he would always look for me to come in the driveway and I would see the back door opening and he would give me a recap of the games and if it wasn’t Saint Joe it would be the Eagles or the Phillies Carl was a great guy dedicated to his wife and his community We put a little card game together in our community and Carl couldn’t wait to play and he really was never happy when he lost a close one but always had a smile on his face when he won. God bless My friend

Such sad news. I worked with Carl at the County for many years. His office was right next to me. He was always pleasant and had a smile on his face. If you were fortunate enough to be friends with him and you would be friends for life. Carl would do anything for you. My sympathy and prayers go out to Dottie and the family. R.I.P Carl, until we meet again. ~Olivia

Ironic that Carl passed the same year that St. Joe passed. Everybody bleeds red but Carl bled St. Joe red.

How do you sum up a friend that was bigger than life. When I transferred to St. Joe he welcomed me and my family with open arms. A heart as big as a Galaxy. When ever I visited Hammonton, I always timed it so i'd catch a St. Joe home game and I'd look for Carl. If I could bet on anything in life, it would be to see Carl at a St. Joe Home game. One thing I know, he's up in Heaven watching football with Jimmy Rodeo and My father Frank Arena...... Thank you Carl, you enriched my life with your friendship.....
