Jim and I dated when he was a student at Stockton. He was unlike anyone I ever knew. He inspired me to return to college, taught me to meditate, made me a sculpture/shelf out of driftwood that I had for twenty years, took me on a camping trip to Cuttyhunk Island to join his former summer colleagues up there for the end of summer clambake. So many great memories but mostly that smile. He always helped people see the best in life. Rosalie, I think you totally captured him in your tribute. I just wanted you all to know he has been so happily remembered by people you probably don’t even know. Peace to you all.

A Loving Tribute to my Dad,
You are the best father a son could ever ask for! The past 26 years of my life have been a true blessing. You raised me so well and taught me how to live life to its fullest. You are such a kind and loving man. The nicest man I've met in my life! I always enjoyed riding the bus with you between classes at Stockton. It was such a cool adventure every time I rode with you. Working on the house and doing carpentry stuff was fun too. You taught me so much and I'm super thankful! I love you very much Dad and you are truly missed. I hope you are living it up with God and our family up above.
Love your son, Jimmy

A Loving Tribute to my Brother Jim
I celebrate the life of my brother, Jim Girard, who succumbed to illness far too young and before I had been fully able to show my true regard and appreciation of all the exemplary qualities he shared with his amazing family and others throughout his beautiful lifetime.
A mild man of compassion and good will, he met his challenges with patience and perseverance, hope and humour. Forever thoughtful, considerate and respectful, everyone was a meaningful person who deserved due regard. Jim was truly a loving man who had the wisdom to be kind and caring first. His dedication, loyalty and dignity was demonstrated day after day as he greeted and protected all those thousands upon thousands of trusting passengers who joined his multitude of bus journeys from dawn to dusk up and down the busy highways of New Jersey for so many years.
My brother Jim was genuinely a kind person content just to be himself. Free from pretention or attention, he modestly carried his fine attributes into his daily activities as naturally as a rainbow forms its glorious colours in a mist bathed by sunlight. I am heartbroken to have lost him so soon to this world, but I am certain the Higher World is an even better place now that he has entered this glorious realm where Divine Virtue is held as the master template of the realized Human Being.
If I am so blessed, I look forward to joining him when my time comes. I look forward to being in a place where pure love can be shared without hinderance or hesitation. Meanwhile, I endeavour to live up to his legacy and will be more than satisfied to have such an epitaph as this to be mine as well. My heart is filled with love when I think of him and I know I will greatly miss his benevolent presence and sincere friendship.
"Jim, you have done your Gift of Life proud! I am glad for the generations that follow you and cherish the good they possess."
Your loving and forever grateful sister, Rosalie.

James, I am so sorry the hear your father passed away. My sincerest condolences to you and your family. You dad was a nice man. He was a good shuttle drive - always driving me safely between Stockton University and EHC train station. My last ride with him was just the two of us. He recommended some good reading material and gave me princess drop-off service on campus. I will miss him.

Dear James,
I am so very sorry for your loss. It is never an easy passage to go through. I pray that you find comfort in your memories and talk of those memories often. Your father should always be remembered by you. Take care of yourself and be the light that shines for him on Earth. He will, most definitely, be the light that shines on you from Heaven.
Anna.
