Mrs. Andrea S., Your wonderful husband served my special needs grandson Kody with his first ever eye exam a few years ago. Dr. S. out us both at ease as he explained that he was a grandfather and he knew just how to deal with 4 year old children. I was thankful for his gentle demeanor, Kody was a swell. All thanks to Dr. S. We will never forget and always cherish that first eye exam.
Memories. . . In the evening when every sound lies sleeping, when all the doors are shut, and the heart is open, memories, lik quiet visitors arrive. "The memory of the just is blessed."

Andrea and family,
My heart is heavy. My condolences to you and your family. As kids growing up you both were so lovely and amazing. We grew up as neighbors right next door and you both would never leave us out of your gatherings. Summers and pool days were always fun. My brothers and I will never forget the times we had with Steve and his sense of humor and the love he expressed to all. He will be truly missed.
Love,
The Burgos Family (Erika, Alfredo, & Anthony)

I had a moment to read the narrative by Stephen's son,Brian, which depicts & describes what his dad meant to him.Stephen was everything that Brian verbalized, & then much more. His dad was the perfect role model in every sense of the word. He had phenomenal honor & integrity, characterized thru truth & service. If you knew the family, Stephen was a clone of his mother, Mary, who was a walking saint among us.Stephen had wonderful wit, & a great sense of humor, while his personal life was impeccable.
He made this town a better place to live by his involvement in the community, while he never asked for anything from anyone. In every description of a person, being labeled as a cut above falls short of this man. Truthfully, from all my interactions with him, Stephen was one of the the most perfect human beings I have ever met. His passing must not go unnoticed, & Hammontonians should construct a memorial so that, not only do we never forget him,but also which allows younger citizens here to emulate the magnificent behaviors that he portrayed each & every day of his life. For some reason society has us believe in athletes as ultimate role models, nevertheless Stephen Streitfeld is in a class all by himself, Personally, I have lost a little brother, as I loved this man, along with his entire family, but he means so much more during these times of confusion for younger teenagers. A simple plaque, or a scholarship in his name falls too short of what he represents. Most important, however, it is quite impressive to acknowedge Brian's willingness to tell others how special his father is to him. His dad was, is & will always be a superhero in every sense of the word, & for those of us who knew him well, we were fortunate to have rubbed elbows with a true role model & saint
