Obituary of Erma Melora

Erma Melora, 85, (nee DeMarco) of Hammonton passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Blue Anchor, NJ she was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Melora worked as a seamstress for Aggressive Coat Co. and later went to work and retired from Whitehall Laboratories. She enjoyed the summers working along side her family on the family blueberry farm; Sunday pasta dinners with her entire family and reading, but her favorite pastime was doting on her family which was everything to her. Mrs. Melora was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Mable DeMarco; her husband John, her son in law Gary Wilson; her daughter in law Susan Melora; her sister, Concetta Stillwell and her brother, Philip DeMarco. She is survived by five daughters, Patricia Lioy (John), Julia Wilson, Sharon Sacco (James), Debbie Hood (Perry), all of Hammonton, Susan Puentes (Tom) of Rosedale; three sons, Anthony Melora (Mary), John Melora (Teri Shipe), Ben Melora all of Hammonton; her brother, Joseph DeMarco of Devonshire; twelve grandchildren, Jim Sacco (Brooke), Christopher Sacco (Jessica), Jonathon Wilson (Lauren), Kaitlyn Jones (Chris), Tommy Puentes (Danielle), Elizabeth Puentes (Lenny), Tony Melora (Katie), Melissa Melora, J.B. Melora, Emily Hood (James), Rachel Glace and Heather Pinard; her great grandchildren, Elena and Greta Sacco; Colin and Audrey Wilson, Gianna, Sienna and Cameron Sacco, Olivia and Abigale Jones; Brielle Pinard and many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Monday, May 15, 2017, 6:00pm - 9:00pm and again on Tuesday, 8:30am - 9:30am at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph's Convent, 219 N. Third St., Hammonton, NJ 08037 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 42, Memphis, TN 38101.
