Marie E. Ford (nee Gregori), 86, of Hammonton passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Born in Winslow, NJ she was a lifelong resident of the Hammonton and Winslow Township area. Before retiring she worked as Deli Manager for SuperFresh in Hammonton, and prior to that she worked at several other SuperFresh locations in South Jersey. She was a member of the Hammonton Volunteer Rescue Squad for more than twenty years, where she served as President. Mrs. Ford enjoyed cooking, baking, making homemade ravioli, and taking care of her large garden. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of sixty six years, Leon P. Ford: five children, Leon Ford Jr. (Betty), Terry Ford-Lewis (Steve), Robert Ford (Debbie), Shirley Grasso (Joseph) and Lynne Presti (Samuel) all of Hammonton; six grandchildren, Shawna, Jamilee, Missy, Ryan Marie, Lauren, and Carli; four great grandchildren, Niko, Bryce, Riley, and Kaylee; and one sister, Josephine Santora. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ernest Gregori and Pete Gregori. A viewing will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM, and Tuesday, January 24, 2017 after 9:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday 10:00 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton.
