Obituary of Julia L. Kessler

Julia L. Kessler (nee Vaccarelli), 74 of Winslow Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Julia was born and raised in Hammonton, and has lived in Winslow Township for the past forty four years. Julia worked as a beautician most of her life. Her love of children led her to work for Winslow Township Public School No. 3, where she helped children with special needs. Most recently, Julia was a volunteer with the ARC in Ventnor. Formerly, Julia volunteered at St. Joseph's School in Hammonton, and St. Joseph's R.C. Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. Julia enjoyed being an artist, painting, dancing and spending time on the beach. She was predeceased by her parents, Nien and Mary Vaccarelli. She is survived by her husband, Stephen J. Kessler; her daughter, Danielle Kessler of Margate; one sister, Josephine Figueroa (Emilio) of Hammonton; two sisters in law, Marie Smith, and Katherine Coward; and many many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:30 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton. Donations to Rowan University Camp Kesem, 200 Mullica Hill Road, Glassboro, NJ 08028 would be greatly appreciated.
